About this shop
This is where most people in Kathmandu meet Lucky Dairy cheese. We opened the shop in 2021 to bring the cheese we have made in Ilam since 2009 closer to the capital, and it now serves cheese lovers, home cooks, kitchens and restaurants across the valley.
Everything on the shelves comes from our own dairy in Ilam. Not sure which cheese you want? Ask to taste before you buy: we are happy to let you try a few and tell you how each one is best used.

The shop is at Kaldhara Chowk, on the western side of Thamel in Kathmandu (ward 16).

When is the shop open?
Every day, from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Can I taste the cheese before buying?
Yes. Ask at the counter and we'll let you taste a few cheeses before you choose.

Which cheeses can I buy here?
The range we make in Ilam, including Kanchan, aged Kanchan, smoked, yak (nak), mozzarella, gouda, brie, cumin and chilli cheese, parmesan and paneer. Stock changes from day to day, so message us if you're coming for something specific.
